Fire District 6 proudly protects the unincorporated areas of Ward 1 in Natchitoches Parish surrounding the City of Natchitoches. We provide fire protection, vehicle extrication, water rescue, search & rescue, HAZMAT, and medical first responder services for the residents of our district, and mutual aid to the City of Natchitoches, NPFD10, NPFD9, NPFD7, NPFD5, NPFD3, and NPFD1.

The department is a combination department composed of paid firemen and volunteer firemen. Both paid and volunteer firefighters receive the same training from Louisiana State University.  We have six stations located throughout the district.
