Adjustable angle plate I designed to hold parts at any angle. I had an article published in Projects in Metal in February 1990 on how to build this. It comes in handy building models and I also use it on my surface grinder. |

I have completely rebuilt this dividing head. It was given to me but the plates and index mechanism was missing, the casting was cracked and the foot was missing. I bought a cast iron angle plate and made the swivel foot. I repaired the cracked body by boring and making a steel insert and bolting to the swivel head vertically. I then remade all the plates, dividing arms and crank. Years later the swivel head broke again and it was impossible to repair so I got hold of a 6" by 5" piece of cast iron and machined the entire body casting. It is now nice and solid and works like a brand new one. |

Carbide grinder I built from junk I found. The 3/4 HP reversing motor came from a floor polisher. The motor mount was built from scrap plate and I designed the tilting table. I built an adaptor to mount a diamond grinding wheel. It works great and was basically free. |
