Princess Leah
and her Grand Adventure

Once upon a time, in a land far away, there lived a lovely young princess named Leah. She owned hundreds of pretty dresses, dozens of pairs of pretty shoes, and many, many, many pretty necklases and rings. She lived with her mommy and her daddy and her little sister Amber in a big castle on top of a hill.

One day, Leah was walking in her beautiful flower garden when suddenly a fierce dragon jumped out in front of her. The dragon blew a great stream of fire into the air above the head of the frightened princess.

Just as the dragon was about to grab the little girl and carry her off, her daddy rode up to the dragon and bonked him on the head.

Then he tied his tail in a big knot around a very large, old tree in the garden.

Well, that mean old dragon was in a fix now! He was going to have to settle down and behave or he would be in a peck of trouble! All of a sudden, the dragon started laughing and clapping. "I'm cured," he yelled. "I'm cured!"

Well, you could just imagine the surprise of Leah and her daddy! What was going on with this crazy dragon! "What is the matter with you?" asked Leah.

The dragon's story

For years now, my back has hurt me something fierce. It has made me very cranky. All I wanted to do was scare people and burn up their castles so that they would feel as bad as I do. Now, I know that my behavior wasn't right. But at the time I thought it would make me feel better. It never did, but I didn't stop anyway.

Today, when your daddy pulled my tail and tied me up to this tree, something happened to my back. It popped a crick right out of my back. I feel like a new dragon.

I am going to make up for my mean ways by repaying all the people whose castles I burned up. I promise to do something nice for everyone I ever scared before. I especially want to do something for you and your brave daddy, Leah.

For your father I have a new horse and set of armour!

And for you, Leah, here's this magic jewel.

Because the dragon was really sorry for the bad things he had done, Leah's daddy decided to let him go. When the dragon was untied, He gave the wonderful gifts to Leah and her daddy and he flew away into the air to begin doing the good deeds he had promised to do!
