I am not a teacher --
only a fellow traveler of whom you asked the way.
I pointed ahead of myself as well as of you.

Hello
web traveler!
And Welcome to...
Just Another Boring Biography Of Someone You've Never Heard Of And Will Probably Never Meet!
Now
that you've gotten that exciting introduction, let me tell you a
little bit about myself.
My name is Donna and I am the mother of a 12 year old son named
Dusty.
Dusty will be in the 7th grade next year. I am sure to need
special prayer as the mother of a junior high student.
(scary words, aren't they?) I teach Mathematics at Natchitoches
Ninth Grade Center. I've been teaching for 4 years and I love it.
But don't believe them when they tell you it's an 8 to 3 job and
you get the summers off. It's simply not true. Those of you who
are teachers know that what I'm saying is true. By the way, for
all you voting, tax-paying citizens who are not teachers, I sure
would like a raise. Computers are another passion. I think that
the more I learn about them, the more I realize I don't know.
Sometimes it feels like a game of catch-up. I am a firm believer
in technology in the classroom, especially the math and sciences.
I advocate the use of graphing calculators in my classroom. In
fact, students don't even have to buy them. I have a classroom
set that I got from a grant. My next goal is to incorporate the
internet into my classroom. I have used it for a couple of
projects which I want to polish and refine and I'd like to come
up with some more. The possibilities are endless, after all.
