I spent my earlier years in Baytown, Texas until I completed junior high school at which time my family moved to Merryville, Louisiana where I finished high school. I then went to Northwestern State College in Natchitoches, Louisiana where I majored in Sociology.

I am presently employed as a Professional Land Surveyor by the Louisiana Department of Transportation and Developement. I work all over the state however primarily in North Louisiana.

I am married, have five children and ten grandchildren.

While I am here I might as well tell you a little about my wife, Mildred. She is from a large family with five sisters and two brothers. One of her brothers died last year with complications from diabetis. This is an updated photo of her. I took it yesterday (Jan 9, 1998) with my new digital camera that my son, Joe, gave us for Christmas. I think it is a big improvement on the picture that was here. She is employed at several different jobs and works a lot harder than me by a long shot. Here is a picture of Midlred's dad with nearly all of my family. My youngest son, Joe and my youngest daughter, Ella are not shown. Mildred's dad has passed away now after a long bout as a diabetic.
